GENTRY — Both the Pioneers and the Lady Pioneers
are off to a strong start on the basketball court, each
team picking up three wins at the Pioneer Tip-off
Classic held in Gentry last week.
The Pioneers defeated Mountainburg 62-50 on Nov. 10, Elkins 77-48 on Thursday, and Lincoln in a close game Saturday by a score of 62-57. Kevin Scherer was the high scorer for the tournament with 61 points, followed by Joe Morris with 41, and Robbie White with 26 for the three-game tournament. On the girls’ side, the Lady Pioneers defeated Mountainburg 62-22, Elkins 57-49, and Lincoln by a score of 60-29. High scorers for the three game tournament were Brittany Green with 32, Terra Jones with 28, and Courtney Millsap with 26. |
